Definitely look for a used G27 over the other alternatives. The G27 is suprisingly easy to shoot. I have one that I rarely use unless I'm carrying on the ankle. But I shoot it just as well as the G22 and the G17.

My Dad just got his concealed weapon carry permit. He has never really been into guns and now he wants to buy a small frame handgun that is easier to conceal. I have been trying to get him to buy something like a Glock 27.
He is flat out cheap and only wants to spend about $350 and he wants it to be a .40 caliber---not a revolver.

He found a Taurs Millenium Pro 140 for $330. Anybody tried out one of these?

Anybody have a recommendation?

Tell him to save his money and if $350 is his absolute limit to look for a used Ruger, Glock or Kahr pistol. I wouldn't recommend a Taurus auto to an enemy of mine. I would highly recommend whatever he gets be a 9mm. With modern high end defensive brands of ammo there are very small differences between 9mm & .40S&W.
