    Springfields Armory Kote or Wilson's Armor Tuff?

    Springfields Armory Kote or Wilson's Armor Tuff? I want to put a new finsh on my frame. What is better? Whats the Differents?

    I honestly do not think their is enough difference between the two finishes to matter.

    the frame or the slide?

    buy a harbor freight airbrush and do it yourself.

    easy, fun and rewarding if you take your time and do it right.

    Are you doing this yourself?

    If not consider METACOL III done by Mark "Gunplumber" Graham I think is one of the best coatings out there.

    His is the only coating I use on my builds. I believe he is one of the few smiths licensed/sancitoned by HK to do their "Satin Black."

    Look at the sharp points (receiver angles/cuts, selector etc.) and you'll find that this is where his coating shines as it maintains its thickness.

    The "patina" finish is the coolest I think.
