    Having a Dillon 550 B since 1991 And having loaded a 9mm, 38 / 357 , 40 S@W. 45 acp, 223, 308, 30-06, 300 Weatherby mag and 338 Lapua. I would tend to agree.

    I wish I hadn't sold the square deal b;
    It is good at what it does.
    I started loading with 2 in 9mm and .45ACP then I consolidated to all 9mm sold both and got a case fed XL650 as my monthly needs were 2-2.5K a month plus I started loading rifle.

    They are good machines for what they are... I could consistently load 300-400 an hour. I wish i kept the .45 ACP one now. I'm planning shooting a little heavy metal 3 gun soon.

    I don't see much press on the 550 (not the B). Seems like a great kit to start with since you can add on as your needs incease to justify all the bells that come on the 550B. Im considering one now.

    You'll spend over $100 more upgrading the 550 basic loader than if you just get the 550B. Not to mention that the 550B comes already set up with one caliber conversion. Buy once, cry once.
