It is an interesting, and telling, list of "greats".
All of them are pioneers in the field, and we're indebted to them for moving things forward, educating people about importance of training etc. Some of them, based on personal knowledge, are good people and true Americans.
That's about all I would say.
Not automatically....Grant's doing himself a bit of a disservice, in a way. He's a VSM instructor; check out the Vickers Tactical site to see what that specifically means, but taking one of Grant's offerred classes would at the very least provide some compare/contrast to what you've already done, as well as simply be good instruction in its own right.
You also have another VSM instructor in the Louisville, KY area. Goes by Mr. Smitty here on M4C, if I recall correctly.
Also, what F2S posted is pretty spot-on.
EDIT: Pardon me, it's Mr. Smith. I've family in both Louisvilly, KY and Indianapolis, IN. Less than 2hrs between those two, so even coming from the northernmost part of the state to either Grant or Mr. Smith, you're likely no more than 4hrs or so out from good, current baseline training.
EAG Tactical has a lot of classes in Alliance, OH. Uncertain about IN.
Contractor scum, AAV
thank you i will look into that.
EAG used to do several classes in Boone County, IN, but I don't know if he still does.
Does anyone know how i can get ahold of Matt Schultz in Michigan? I saw his name as a VSM instructor on the Vickers website and I emailed him a few days ago and have not gotten a reply.
Yes Matt can be reached at suchpachs sporting goods in Jackson mi,
If not let me know I live in MI as well

If you have reservations about the training you received, that is an indicator that you feel the instructors did not cover the ground you expected them to cover. Use the course you took as a gauge when evaluating future courses you attend.
I still use a few things I learned from instructors who trained me when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. They all had the same doctrine, which was precision under pressure. I built on the strong points and kept an open mind when I took instruction from other courses I attended over the years.
Take the strong points from the course you already attended. Find someone in your area, who's ability you respect and get some input on what courses you should attend to advance your skills.
There are some respected firearm instructors who post on this site and that would be a good place to start. The money you spend on a good firearm course will be less than a "how to win at golf" class and you don't have to dress like Rodney Dangerfield did in Caddy Shack.
