Ive got a couple of Midwest PX's cut down LR Pmags. Cut to 7 rounds they fit flush with the bottom of the magwell on an LMT MWS. I watched him do them when I picked up the gun from him. Good clean work. Those are the mags I use the majority of the time and I have had no issues with them.

I have plenty of mags and want to do this myself instead of paying for additional magazines. Would like to hear from anyone who has done this.
This is all I use on my 6.5 creedmoor mega AR10. No complaints, they work great.

I found this "how to" for anyone interested. Looks like an easy project.

Went to the range today and shot my modified 10-round 308 PMAG.
40 total rounds through the mag with no issues. The base is pinned and glued. As you can see, some of the glue foamed up so it looks rough.
Plan to do one more for match use.

I have made a few for 5.56 G.I. 20 rd. and recently for PMag 20 .308 the LR20 i just used a wooden dowel rod cut to length.. Think i just glued it to bottom of follower , no mag body cutting..

5.56 i use metal pallet strapping bend in u shape then insert into mag.

just takes time getting the length right
