Who Uses Optics on an A1 older style carry handle?

I have a fixed 16" barrel A1 that I have had for some time now. I am thinking of adding a collapsible stock on it and th ethought of optics came to mind.

Just a general question - Who has a fixed carry handle with optics on it and what optics do you have? Can you post pictures if possible. Thanks!!!

Polk County SO uses a compact ACOG with theirs, with the hole for using the iron sights.

    +1 on the compact ACOG.
    I'm a TA47-2 fan myself.

$700 from a lot of retailers and down to $500 or so from reputable auction folk.

I'm kinda old fashioned... I like having a carrying handle on my rifle. I have an old Colt 4X Scope, but I may need to upgrade.

I have a Trijicon Tripower on my A1. It's in a custom mount. I wanted it real low, so I made a custom piece from 6061 aluminum that is quick detach and has only enough rail for one wide ring. It is in front of the handle, and down on it, so the optic pretty much sits right on top. All I have to do to remove it is unscrew the finger lever nut and pull it off.
