Presents a training opportunity hosted by the Breezy Point Police Department

Combative Police Pistol

Taught by Dave Spaulding

October 8-9, 2013

Breezy Point Police Department, 8361 Co Rd 11, Breezy Point, MN

Law enforcement officers have unique requirements when it comes to the combative pistol…requirements that are not regularly addressed during standard in-service qualification. The 21st Century street cop needs to be proficient with his duty sidearm anywhere from contact distance (arrest situations) to 25 plus yards (active killer/shooter situations). This course is for law enforcement only. The course is for those who do not just shoot in self-defense, but seek out law breakers and place themselves between the citizens they are sworn to protect and the felons who would prey upon them. This is a course for hunters…not just defense shooters. Subjects to be covered: essential combative pistol skills; surgical speed shooting and manipulation; one hand shooting and manipulation; critical Space combative pistol skills (“bad breath” distances); reduced light applications (is facility permits); point shooting and sighted fire and how they complement one another; dynamic movement; grounded shooting; rapid position change; use of back up guns (if used); developing the Combative Mind.

Tuition is $400.

Equipment needed: a quality handgun (two is not a bad idea in the event your gun breaks), holster designed to carry the selected gun, two additional spare ammunition carriers/magazines, eye and ear protection, billed cap or hat, knee pads, clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, 600 rounds ammunition.
