    Thanks for the tip, it seems that it you are just taking it apart and using just the washer and nut. Would you be able to put it back to original with no problems?

    Cool mod! I think the trade off of losing the ability to QD your optic wouldn't be worth the trade off to me, but i bet a lot of people do this

    Well, I over tightened the 8mm nut and it didn't take much. Now I see why the ACO nut is so long. So I improvised and reversed the ratchet nut, unfortunately it needs a tool to tighten it. I will have to see if I can order the ACO nut and cross bolt.

    I am also interested in the original photos. I actually prefer the qrp2 mount. I just don't like how it lossens up after a range session. I was thinking of epoxying the two racheting pieces together.
