Worst case I can throw it on one of my shotguns and pick up a T-1.
Well, sometimes it's worth trying everything just to rule things out. And you might be right about the RX-30 being better.

But you should definitely try an Aimpoint, if you haven't. I tend to shy away from the popular things by default, but the Aimpoint Micros have won me over, hands down.

I plan on an aimpoint next, not sure if going to go with a micro or M4 though....

For me, I can't see any reason to spend the money on the M4 over the PRO, unless you ABSOLUTELY HAVE to run on AA batteries for some reason.

I like the Micros for less weight, less bulk, and despite the smaller tube, it has a better field of view, for me. Because there is less of the optic's housing in my field of vision, I can see more with both eyes open. It's more like just having a floating dot than looking through a tube.

The Reflex's are dying off (for good reason) and I fully expect them to get discontinued within the next few years.

A TriPower would be a step up if you want to stay trijicon, but even they have their concerns.

Aimpoint PRO for a budget, H1 for lightweight and compact, or ACOG mini or a 1-6x if you want battery free.

Of the 2 get the micro, if you want a bigger (not sure why other than to reduce cost), then Aimpoint is the best value on the market.

Alright, I am now convinced, I am going to get both the reflex and the T-1. I give up...

Maybe "Troops" didn't didn't get them until 96'. IN FACTSome Naval types certainly did have em 93/94, and they sucked. No likey water, no likey ambiguous ambient light conditions.. So not just "my" opine.. the collective disgust drove the institution to change to Aimpoints.

And the Naval component of SOCOM got one whole SOPMOD kit per individual, 4x, red dot laser, lights, etc.. from day one. Or possibly predating ARSOF adoption. The ODA guys I saw had one kit per 4guys the first few yrs. Similar to how ARSOF now only issues a couple SCAR-H's per ODA, not an M4, SCAR, long gun, etc per guy.

Of course I've also been told, by the herd of www.experts, the flattop m4 I was issued in 93' didn't exist either.

But hey.. nice historical piece of 20 y/o technology that didn't take.

You don't really "need" a T-1, it can be used with night vision, which is a moot point if you don't run NV and it has better waterproofing, but H-1 waterproofing is good enough for me. I'd get an H-1 or if you can still find one for cheap and R-1 and either paint it or throw an IO cover on it (which are very nice, btw).

I only have a T-1 because I traded into it, had I been buying it new, I'd be looking for an H-1 and would buy an R-1 for a discount price if I found one.

    Lemme get this straight...

Because YOU were using Thing2 at a given time defined by you, that decisively means that somebody else, somewhere else wasn't using Thing1 at a time prior to your own....?

Putting aside being dead wrong in regard to dates, it's amazing that you were able to source the JATO bottle you needed to bridge the time/space/logic gap in that sentence.

A thread loses any intrinsic value once an "if my aunt had a penis, she'd be my uncle" assertion gets dropped.
