    New 7" pistol build - Hera Arms/556 Tactical/CMT Tactical

Here's one I slapped together today. Only thing I need now is to find a billet upper with tolerances that will tolerate the YM N/M BCG (I had a forged lying around so I used it), and swap out the gunfighter MOD5 for a MOD4. Fortis QD endplate but no sling shown. I don't care if anyone knows my serial number so no attempts were made to black it out.

May I ask what led you to use the CMT Tactical billet lower?

I like the looks of it, it's 7075, and it was the only billet lower that was available when I bought it. Have people been reporting problems with them or something? I've been very happy with mine.

Good looking rig! Very similar to my current pistol build, including the CMT lower and Samson evo. Both great choices, in my opinion. Why did you go with the hera comp vs a kx3 or something else and your impression of the quality/finish of it.

I just wanted to build one that looks as cool as it functions. I usually build strictly for utility but just thought the HERA was so much nicer looking than the flaming pig. I'm happy with my choice. Thanks!!

The HERA does look smoother than the kx3. Have you shot her yet?

Only 240 rounds. A mix of Independence 55gr 5.56 and Hornady 55gr V-MAX using an H buffer/Wolff SP recoil spring combo and the HERA mag. Zero hang ups, zero malfunctions. I will admit that the HERA comp is heavy - almost 9 oz - but it helps with keeping the sights on target.

Nice shooter there Shao! How many builds does that make you in the six months or so it took you to become a senior member...
