Surefire 7.62 SOCOM muzzle brake?? Reviews?

Hey All,

I had the old 7.62 Surefire brake on backorder but I see they are making a new SOCOM one. Anyone have the new one? How does it compare to the old one as a brake? The new one does not have the large slot on the top right to control vertical movement....does it work as well? This will go on my LMT for 3 Gun.

Its an awesome brake on both the 7.62 and 5.56 platforms. I have one on my MWS and its amazing how well it tames the recoil. Only downside is its load as heck and occasionally throws a massive fireball.

EDIT: I've used both the new and old ones on both 5.56 and 7.62 and I don't notice a difference in performance.
