    What Do You Think

A G35 with its 5.03in barrel and a 180gr HP do you think it is just as good as a .45acp or close, or very close?

Close enough. Its a pistol round. We aren't talking rafts and battleships, Cessnas and Stratofortresses.

    What Do You Think

Given identical shot placement, performance will be very similar.

    What do you think?

I think you should read the sticky threads by Doc Roberts before posting such a thread.

    Edit, 7-8-13:
Well, this, of course, depends on the fate of the recently disappeared threads by Doc Roberts.

I would have if I knew who in the hell was Doc Roberts was.

I was told there were professionals on this sight so that is why I asked the question.

Have you considered 147gr 9mm in a known factory round (Federal HST 147)?

Higher round count, faster follow up shots, etc.

Or are you considering shooting something other than a human being intent on doing you harm?

    Caliber is pretty much moot.

Does anyone have some info saved? Maybe we can recompile some sticky threads

DocGKR has also posts on several other forums:

perhaps there are more, a quichk google search will tell...

Moderators, this is just info for the people that do not this, no need to start any new drama about it

Just as good for what purpose? The 180 HST in .40SW is a particularly good defensive load. At full velocity out of the G35, expect excellent performance.

The very best loads that pass FBI ballistic testing criteria make the difference in calibers minimal to irrelevant for most folks.

Guys- I did a little thread cleanup in here. There's more than enough drama and commentary going on in other threads. Please keep new threads on topic and help each other out during this transitional time.
