I'm assuming a regular mil-spec stock works fine on the extended buffer tube?
Yes. A standard stock fits on the A5 RE.

Yep, and it ran beautifully:

so much so, I'm doing another A5/16" middy right now.
Yes, and it runs great! Never had any problems.
I am looking everywhere for the A5 buffer and spring combo for my 6720 (already have the buffer tube) but I can't find it in stock anywhere.
Does ANYONE know of ANY places that have the A5 buffer and spring combo in stock??
Thanks

markm is correct, but I just want to add that depending on which stock you go with it may not fully collapse on the A5 extension, or it may fully collapse but the receiver extension will end up protruding from the butt of the stock. To avoid this problem, make sure you use a stock that is long enough to fully collapse on the A5 without issues, or use the AR10 6-position receiver extension instead of the 7-position A5.
