On a side note, and somewhat related to the above note, it would be absolutely hilarious if a soldier swapped out his issued weapon for one of these upon return of weapon. "You said you wanted it clean..... "

    NEVER SEEN BEFORE!

''What we have created is a completely new state of matter nobody has seen before,’ said Professor Justin Wark of Oxford University’s Department of Physics, one of the authors of the paper. ‘Transparent aluminium is just the start."

Next they will be working on is a camoflauge pattern for it.

I can see a training value in an armorer or firearms course, but to demonstrate real live cycling functions, there are tons of videos demonstrating cycling through actual firing in slo-mo, than this thing can provide.

Just more ammo to use against us by the Antis, and will be blown way out of proportion by them, as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure the 3 letter agencies will be freaking out about this, much like the 3D printing of AR lowers, mags, and such.

80% lowers, even polymer ones aren't new news are they? This is just the firs clear one I've heard of.

DPMS is scrambling for the production rights due to thousands of requests from ARF.com members for a complete model. Should increase reliability in future DPMS rifles!
