    Which Eotech should i buy.

I am wanting an eotech but not sure which one to get. I like the 1 dot retical in the eotechs. I was looking at the 517 which has great reviews and also like the smaller xps Eotechs but not sure what model is best.

State of the art in Eotechs is the XPS series and more so the EXPS series. That's the way to go in Eotechs IMHO.

I just got rid of my eotech xps3 for an acog, I did like my eotech though, just remember to run it far forward on your rail set up.

EXPS 2-0 if you don't use NVGs

EXPS 3-0 if you do run NVGs

    Why?

And OP are you saying you like just the one dot and nothing else, or the one dot and outer ring? If you like only the dot, buy an Aimpoint. If you like the single dot and the ring (standard EOTech reticle), follow nickdrak's post above.

I have an XPS 2-0 on an ADM mount/riser that I've grown very fond of. It gives you the height of the EXPS series without the ARMS lever.

But I would rather have the side mounted controls of the EXPS, and I've been a little confounded on how to mount a magnifier to the back of the ADM mount (the little raised segment is meant for NVG)

My vote would be either the XPS or EXPS. Also, watch for the OPMOD versions on Optics Planet or Dvor. They're the same unit, but cheaper. You can also wipe off the OPMOD logo if you don't like it. I've seen EXPS2's go as low as $450
