Well there ya go. I didnt know they had short 1913 rail sections for keymod rails. Never used one of these rails so I don't know much about them. But I'm going to try this bcm rail out and definitely want to go with the inforce wml. Never tried the inforce wml out though as well. So who knows like tacteam said, maybe with the round style of these keymod rail the offset mount for the inforce wml is the way to go. I'm just not used to it. Might be worth giving it a shot.

Did you get a good look at the anti rotation feature?.....is this like a keyway where both the forearm and upper receiver are cut to receive a key of some sort to
lock them both together?..hard to tell from the pics...

I have not seen this rail so I don't know for sure, just speculating here. If the 1030-ish or 130-ish keymods were designed with enough room to put a keymod 1913 rail and still attach an accessory on it without contacting the 12 o'clock rail, you could potentially just mount the WML on that location an forgo the offset mount.

Correct. But for rails like the NSR that don't have the 45* mounting options, offset mounts are needed if that is desired.

I doubt it. Eric stated earlier in the thread that it would be compatible with the MUR. I doubt they would introduce a rail that required a proprietary upper receiver.

    mtdawg169:

You are correct. The KMR system will work with any Milspec-style upper, as long as it has standard barrel nut threads and the proper Picatinny rail placement. This includes the MUR (Noveske or Vltor configuration).

    Eric thanks much for answering

So the anti rotational feature will also work with any milspec upper too?

WML isnt that good at 12oclock, even a streamlight TLR/surefire X300 puts it's switches at the position where the offset would be. A 12 oclock WML you would be turning it on at the 12oclock position not at an offset position. I think the design of the WML and its button position is for it to be on offset.

Perhaps.....the Noveske NSR will function just fine with any upper but the anti rotation feature won't....
Noveske has stated that it really is not necessary as the forend isnt going anywhere anyway that lock up is perfectly snug without it...its more or less feel good insurance.
Nevertheless I have had my uppers....non Noveske MURs as well as BCMs and Noveske Gen 1 drilled for the anti rotation pin anyway.

I was just wondering if BCM was doing something similar as I could not quite tell from the new pics up on their website just how the anti rotation feature is gonna work...

If someone can explain I sure would like to know....

    TIA
