It's silly because there are only a few rails out in circulation being tested and very few people have any experience with it.
So instead of passing judgement on it, let the rail be released and then pick it apart.
Maybe, just maybe there is some reason such as being able to put an attachment anywhere on the rail.
In any case everyone can't be pleased so now there will be 201 choices on the market instead of 200.

I can see it both ways
1. Adding integrated qd mounts would save from buying one more accessory on a rail designed to be super light weight.
2. Integrating a qd mount would inevitably ad more material to the rail this adding weight to the rail(although not as much weight as the qd ad on would be) and with this being the "lightest rail out" some people would have extra weight that they didn't want because maybe they don't need a qd mount up front
Lastly I've noticed that BCM works VERY tightly with Haley Strategic on a LOT of product development and I've heard rumors of an HSP sling in the the testing phase that does not even require a qd cup to attach to this or most other rails already out there
QD cups are expensive and not everyone likes them. So you end of making people that don't want them pay for them. Kind of similiar to Obama care.
On top of this, not everyone wants the QD cups in the same place. So by allowing the customer to pick and choose if they want them and put them wherever they want is a win for everyone.

And if you don't like QD there is this
KAC Keymod Sling Loop

The weight of 7.7 oz is stupid light, as light as my DDM4 rails are, I think I'll be upgrading to this rail at least on my V5, now if only they make a rail compatible wth my V1 so I don't have to destroy the front sight I'll be a happy camper!
This is kind of silly. Isn't the whole point behind Keymod to make it completely user-customizable?
So to produce the lightest, cheapest rail you leave out things like integrated QD slots that a large percentage of shooters may not want. BCM got it right here.
If someone wants a QD socket they can put it anywhere on the rail they want. Which is one of my main beefs with some of the Daniel Defense rails I have had in the past. I didnt want to put my sling where the integrated QD sockets were located.
