Glad to see it's finally showing up on BCMs site. I'm guessing that there are pics which my phone just isn't loading...

Only the 16" is showing in stock. The 14.5" are out.

Anyone know the difference in the "Light Weight" and "Enhanced Light weight". All the other BCM's have "Light Weight" and regular.

Curious, I noticed it was the standard, non-BFH chrome barrels with BCM KMR that said "enhanced light weight"

I hope they didn't go with something like a colt pencil barrel for "enhanced light weight".

If its as light as my fortis and mounts to the barrel nut I may just give this a try. If the price is right that is. Bcm just keeps on giving.

Well that's because more often than not, with these types of rails it is most beneficial to mount the light at 12 o'clock and the front sight just slightly to the rear of it.

I've got an NSR on one of my rifles and I like it, but the barrel nut bugs me a little. Too tight one way and not tight enough the other... I love the fact that the NSR is so solidly connected once installed, just want a little more flexible attachment.

So, if the BCM rail has a solid barrel nut mount (Geissele like) and NO QD I'll be happy as a can be. But I hate built in QD sockets, they are dopey. For some reason manufacturers put the QD located at 9 and 3 o'clock at the FRONT of the rail and rear of the rail. But if you want to mount a light or something at 9 you cannot use the QD socket as it interferes. NO QD SOCKETS THEY ARE A WASTE OF SPACE, I'll put the dang QD socket WHERE I WANT IT.

OK, I got that out of my system. So when will a 13" BCM rail be ready, please? Thanks.

BTW - I do like the keymod it really is more space efficient, and the design allows for lighter weight and flexible designs to be created, witness the upcoming BCM rail. And the utility of having the ability to easily move attachments without accessing the back of the rail cannot be underestimated.

I'm guessing Enhanced means this -

"These 14.5" mid length gas barreled upper receiver groups have been specifically tuned to be a very soft and fast shooting set up. They are a joy to shoot, but please feed it good ammo. With good milspec pressured ammo we have been running H buffers. We do not recommend using lower powered ammo. If using less than milspec pressured ammo, it may be best to run a standard carbine buffer."

    From the description.
