I wouldn't use an Ultradot if it were free.

I bought one several years ago in large part due to the "Lifetime Warranty" promenently displayed on the box. I figured if anything went wrong at least they would stand behind it. It went on a 9mm AR for my wife to use and promptly spend most of its life in the safe.

After a while it came out for a range trip and I found the On/Off/brightness knob broken (I figure it must have been bumped in the safe as it had about the most gentle life any gun/sight has ever had). I tried to contact Ultradot and got no response.

I found online that their repair service was handled by another company and contacted them. The lady on the phone told me the particular model I had was only covered by a shorter warranty period which was now expired and they would not fix it. I explained the "Lifetime Warranty" marked on the box (which I still had) and she said that was a printing error and they would not honor it.

I tried to contact Ultradot directly several more times and never received any response. **** them.

If you wanted to post about your choice of a sub-standard optic without anyone giving their opinion, you came to the wrong place.

Sorry new here, but I don't consider the thing sub standard at all what I consider sub standard is something like a Vortex Aimpoint clone which is a rebranded Lepers.

What it is is old tech basically, like the Armson OEG I tried awhile back.....

In the price range you are describing the Vortex strikefire is an excellent value and well more popular and durable than this sight you are bragging up. Lifetime warranties don't hurt either.

Not bragging it up at all just curious if any are using this old sight,if you look them up you'll find they're one of the older dot makers and they get used fairly often in gun comp and shooting games.

So far it works well and even got a water test-I was walking home from shooting with a friend and got caught in the recent monsoon like rains, came home dried me and the Colt off and looked the Ultradot over,no leaks and even wet I could still see and use the dot.

Kinda like the C-More which gets some intense hate on certain AR forums I almost nabbed one of those before the Ultradot.

I like to use outdated stuff as a habit,I will get a newer one but when I can you may see me rockin' something that looks like it should be in Vietnam

The mepro sucks balls at night too. It washes out against a flashlight lit surface.

There is a lot of good advice on this website, luckily, it's all free.

I wonder how long before Krull runs up his 'less than meaningful post count', at break neck speed, to sell shit on EE...

I shoot action sport competitions quite a bit and I've never seen one used by anyone, didn't know it existed before today.

I think you're on to something. First thing listed, Ultradot!
