Now that is quite interesting. Almost 3 times lighter than my Recon.

the only thing that concerns me is lack of QR. maybe for a SPR with offset sights but no go for a Recce...

The small claws on the top of the rings worry me. Seems like a week spot for aluminum.

I have no idea what the difference is supposed to be between a "recce" and an "SPR". Except the joint committee of SOCOM'rs decided 18" was better than 16". Some NSW commands disagreed and went 16"

Nor do I understand the utility of "back up sights" when an offset T-1 weighs the same and is faster.

QD is currently of little utility to me in broad application. There are certain uses, but the tens of thousands of dollars of electric-optical equipment is beyond the reach of most here.

my post? that was shorthand. Speaking strictly as I have seen things defined in general use (not SOCOM or Crane's definition), SPR is longer, heavier, sporting a long range scope. I don't have the money for it but a lot of people who do like an offset red dot and no BUIS. no need to remove a scope if you have this.

Recce, as the way I've seen it mostly applied, uses a smaller 1-4/6 type scope on QD with BUIS.

the mount without QD wouldn't fit my idea of a Recce but ymmv...

100% agree and an off set Delta point or RMR weighs even less. I got rid of all my Larue QD mounts and am now running the new lighter Warne Skel mount but this is lighter yet. Interesting.

    Dano5326,

Interesting take. Is there a particular offset mount that you recommend for the T-1? Also, a particular location that you find is optimal?
