Excellent. don't know why I passed up looking at Bobro because I have they slightly forward mount on my 1-6 scope and it's extremely well made as well as being a work of art...

Not really.. I ran some of the first dot sights ever seen in the SE 20 years ago! I'll ask you again.... Why run a magnifier on a red dot sight?? It just makes the dot and target larger.. What purpose does it serve?? GH
did you read past the first line?

yes it makes the dot larger with the target but MOA is MOA. if your 2 minute dot covers 2 inches at 100 yards, it still only covers 2 inches when magnified but it appears three times closer...

Damnit. I was going to suggest them, but I thought they only made scope mounts, and that one T1 mount.

    Should've looked on their site.

I like the hell out of mine, to the point that I'm considering replacing my other absolute cowitness Aimpoint mounts with more of them. I'll take a hit, but I think it would be worth it.

does anyone know of a rear sight that doesn't project so far forward of the first rail slot as the Troy?..
Would modding the base (or BUIS for that matter) for that 1/16" of clearance be a palatable option?

Another option instead of getting a different mount for the PRO is getting the cantilever spacer for your QRP2 mount you already have for the PRO.

OK, I didn't know that existed.

are you sure the cantilever spacer will work on the QRP2 mount of the PRO? the ad mentions the M4 but not the PRO...

You might want to check with aimpoint on that, BUT the QRP2 base is the same on the M4 and the PRO. They also share the same spacer. The only difference is that it mounts directly to the M4 while the PRO has the 30mm Aimpoint ring mount. I have both the PRO and M4 and the mounts are both the same.

DSG offers the same spacer and says it works for the PRO

You could always double-check with Aimpoint.

Yup. in fact this is what they say verbatim -- "Aimpoint QRP2 Forward Extension Spacer Kit - A great item to have if you are running a magnifier with a twist mount. Easy installation and works great with the patrol rifle optic QRP II mount. "

    thanks...
