    E2D ultra mod?

Is there a way via tail cap or something in which one could remove the low output setting on the E2D Ultra and only have it output in high like the "tactical" branded versions of other surefire lights?

I don't know for sure on the light you mentioned, but different modes are usually controlled on the driver board. In other words, you would have to defeat the low setting on the driver, swap out drivers, swap out drop in module or change head. The surefires driver is most likely thermally potted, so swapping the drop in, or head may be your only choices. Does it take p60 drop in modules?

A Scout light tail cap should do the trick Koshinn.

ETA: Although if you want just a strictly momentary option then I am left wondering the same question you asked.

Was wondering this myself. The E2D-U has the same lumen outut of a M600U/Fury/X300U.... but a good 45 minutes of extra run time. Only thing that holds me back from buying it is the low-lumen setting.

I probably know the answer .... but why a modified E2DU over a M600U or Fury?
