    600, with a head that size? You'll be scorching retinas out past the effective range of buckshot - but I want to see if that conversion can work on my 870 - one of the old school Xenon lamp 6P based ones.

    I share your sentiment. I had one of the older Surefire forends on my Benelli M2 when I still had it. Quality piece of equipment, well made and worked great, but I couldn't get past how heavy the damn thing was. If I ever get another shotgun, I'm sure a little more research and creativity will yield a much lighter alternative.

    I have one of the older versions which I replaced with the SF LED head. It's more than bright enough and I didn't spend an assload on it.

    I also replaced the light engine on mine, but with a triple XPG P60 drop-in. It's plenty bright and it is very functional, but I'd really rather something lighter.

    all surefire fore ends are neat as hell... im having plenty of luck with my magpul fore end with inforce WML though... considerably less cash and pretty solid setup
