    Question Best commercial 7.62 x 39 currently available ??

Of the 7.62 x 39 commercial ammo that is currently available, what is the best for general purpose use?

    Who has it for less?

    Thank you

I personally really like Golden Tiger, made by Vympel in Russia.

    Good all around FMJ.

Try Cope's Dist., they usually have a good deal on it.

I also like Barnaul, but it's a little harder to find.

Wolf Military Classic 124gr JHP. made by Ulyanovsk Machinery Plant in Russia using their 8M3 JHP. This stuff gets good termial performance, and its the most accurate out of my AKs.

How does it do (compared to the FMJ) in terms of penetration through barriers like glass or car doors?

I've shot it through doors, no problems.

I've also seen it shot through a beat up Grand Marquis of early 80's vintage, also no problems.

    No comment on windshields.
