    1. Their levers auto adjust (no tool needed).
    2. The surface contact area is much bigger with the Bobro system (read nothing digging into your rail).
    3. Steel levers with a small surface contact area (on softer metals) will continually deepen the "pocket" they are sitting in. So you will need to adjust the lever in order to keep the mount somewhat still on the rail (from time to time).

Case in point, a WORLD famous firearms instructor came into my shop a couple years ago. We were adding something to his AR when we noticed that his Aimpoint was loose on his rail. I asked him if he had forgotten to tighten the lever and he said that he had it on there good and tight for several YEARS. I then asked him if he had taken the optic off and on a lot (wearing a pocket into the rail) and he said no.

If anyone is running a LT mount, make sure to do the following:

    1. Draw a thin witness mark across the lever nut and base so that you can easily tell if the nut has moved.
    2. Periodically check the tension on your lever. If you do not want to open the lever, grab the optic or mount and attempt to move it.

If I was buying an OPTICS mount, my three choices would be (listed in high to low price order):

    1. GDI
    2. Bobro
    3. ADM

Just to be clear, I am not bashing LT mounts and would certainly take their products over a lot of other mounts out there *cough ARMS cough*. I would also have no issues with using a LT mount for anything that did not have an optic attached to it.

There are quite a few different part numbers and a little confusing, some have the bolts on the top, some on the bottom. It looks like the slightly forward mount is the same spec as the Larue LT104 from what I can see.

Are they strong???? I have pretty much always used Larue for everything I mounted on a rifle.

Bobro is super strong. I like them better than my Larue mounts for reasons mentioned above. Only thing, be careful when remover them. When you release the lever, that lever is fast and hurts knuckles from time to time

Yeah. You open them differently than you would a larue lever to avoid it, it's just sometimes I forget how fast they pop open once you release it. It takes some force to release them.
