    I have used the slightly forward with a SS1-4, SS1-6, and Vortex 2.5-10x32 and it works well for all of these. however, the ring spacing is a little closer on the Bobro so I have switched to an ADM Recon (not the Recon-X) for the 2.5-10 for better support on the longer scope.

    this scope is not going to be removed and remounted unless it's broken so it makes no difference to me and the ADM is my second choice anyway...

    Then use a 1 piece. It will be cheaper, lighter and all things being equal, less prone to shift/drifting over time.

    Unless you absolutley have to have QD, don't.
