    I think I see it now. The barrel attaches to the upper with a proprietary nut and the rail clamps to the nut with two clamp screws and indexes with two set screws. Is that right?

    The rails doesn't clamp to the barrel nut. The rail has anti-rotational tabs on either side that interface with the receiver.

    Will any lasers/front buis return to zero when removing and reinstalling a Geissele rail?

    Yes they will return to a zero given you properly index, and tighten down the cross bolts, and set screws.

    The use of a large surface area one piece mount like a ADM, larue, or bobro mount during the installs help ensure this property.

    No as we simply do not have that many.

    Also, we get a request a day for a BCM lower. So you could always sell the lower.
