    Aimpoint CEU

What is this exactly? Sounds interesting, but how does it work?
Does anybody have any experience with these?

No experience, but as to what it is-provided in the description from your link:
    Aiming around corners
The Aimpoint® CEU gives the operator the ability to observe and/or engage a threat from a concealed or covered position. The CEU easily rotates from side to side, letting the operator safely look around either right or left-hand corners. It can also be quickly removed to rapidly return to direct engagement.

Accutact Anglesight is similar. Both allow you to look around corners with the rifle without sticking your head around the corner using mirrors.

It allows you to shoot around corners without exposing your body. Originally, these were only allowed to be purchased by LE. That restriction is now gone.

We also have a discount code for these so send us a PM if interested.

The advantage of the CEU over the other similar devices is that it uses a prism rather then a simple mirror. Thus providing a true image rather then reversed image.

While it's not something everyone needs it is a viable piece of kit for certain situations. Learning how to use one is fairly simple and it can be removed from the gun quickly when it's not needed via a twist mount or simply pulled from the mounting ring.

Full disclosure; I work as a Pro Staff member for Aimpoint.

Grant, I have an Aimpoint T-1 mounted over the magwell (at the front of the upper) on my DDM4V1, I have the fixed rear on my rifle, would I be able to use the CEU with the rear sight or would this not fit?

I don't think so unless you push the T-1 more forward OR switch to a flip up BUIS.

Ya that doesn't look like it would work as is, although I wouldn't be completely against moving it up... I watched a youtube video where a few different Aimpoint accessories were being shown off, one of them was a fixed rear sight that is installed on the Aimpoint twist mount. Outside of that video, I haven't seen one of those available for sale anywhere, but that would seem to be an option as well.

It's a ripoff of a device that was made about 10 years ago. The military bought a bunch, then liquidated them, realized they are useless.

$350 for that? Im sure some will by just by the AP on the side of it. Does it even come with a mount?

Let me see if I can find the old product..........

Edit: Hell , Brownells even sells them now http://www.brownells.com/optics-moun...211-75827.aspx

Actually the CEU is a step above either of those you link to TG since as I mentioned it provides a true image NOT a mirror image like both of those.

It is in no way a "ripoff" and has been around for many years. It is just now being imported for commercial sales. Prior to this it was available to LE/Mil only due to Swedish export laws.
