Anyone have an RMR on their shotgun? Just wondering how it holds up under recoil? I initially intended on putting an Aimpoint Micro on my VEPR 12, but now that I sold my M&P CORE I have a spare RMR and thinking about putting it on my VEPR 12. I'll be placing it on a low profile mount if I do up towards the front (I have a CHAOS quad rail installed on mine).

I'm getting ready to put my EOTech EXPS2 on my Versa Max Tactical. It should handle the recoil just fine. The only reason I haven't done it yet is that I haven't figured out how to zero it yet.

With semi-auto I think an RMR would be okay but with anything pump action I don't think it would stand up to the recoil.
Not sure about you guys, but I'm only here for the free food and open bar.

Our guys at work have used RMR on short 870s for about 6 years and run them a lot without breakage. But theirs are tritium fiber optic models

I don't know of anyone who runs them on shotguns but for an optic designed around handgun and light semi auto rifle use, I just see shotgun recoil being a little harsh.

Doug @ ATEi has installed them (RMR's) directly onto shotguns. ETA: using a base
We used to run the old Optima MRDS's on one of our 1100's and even that thing held up.
I have no experience mounting them on rails.

I have used the RM07 on my 590a1 without any issue; I personally think it is a bit faster than even a Micro, could just be me but the smaller housing makes the dot "appear" quicker so that there is little searching for it. I have little concern about the stoutness of using an RMR long-term - and as a matter of fact have one mounted on a Glock as well.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone have experience with using an EOTech on a shotgun? As I stated earlier in the thread, I am considering this option and any feedback on the matter would be appreciated.
