He had just brought the weapon out of the gun vault, yes, I said vault...they have a twenty by twenty foot square reinforced concrete vault, within which is the massive gun safe where all the really cool stuff is stored. He put the suppressor on and was simply tightening it up while describing the weapon system before we fired it.

Can't wait to see the video when I get off my work computer.

My dad told a story once, that seems to correlate with what you said. During training many moons ago, he and some buddies decided to ''attack'' their base during annual summer training. Apparently last day, really bored, nothing better to do, young & dumb ... whatever, they thought it would be fun.

Problem was, they were only issued magazine of blanks.

Charged down the hill towards the camp on full auto ... for about 2 seconds. After that, a lot of "Bang, you're dead!" going on.

    Funny....and true.

I had eight mags loaded and we blew through five of them in about ... oh .... two or three minutes? Even triggering off three and five round bursts ... you definitely burn through the ammo.

Out at my gun club, Arnold Rifle and Pistol Club, the full auto guys come out, get set up and there is a lot of sound and fury for about ... five minutes and then, they are through.

It is very easy to prove it is a HK416; get a pic of the BCG and piston assembly, all disassembled.

The rear of the upper, near the CH does not look correct for a HK416.

You're being given free advice on how to verify a statement that you made. Not sure why you are taking it poorly.

    To refine what AC stated....

The heartburn is and always has been with the people that post nothing more than "Check out the vid/report/editorial on my site...!" and a link to their blog or whatever.

M4C has never had any issue with any particular media type or the means by which to access such, in and of themselves. Putting it that way is an oversimplification that can lead to significant misunderstanding of the intent, so here's some extra skinny.....

Folks that provide comprehensive content (like you did, PT, and like others do), and include a link to some other source, evidence, media, etc., are facilitating a discussion.

Drive-by link-droppers, whether it's intentional or not, are ultimately just trying to generate traffic without paying the toll by poaching on somebody else's base. Screw that, we make them work for it by insisting that such things include some kind of thesis statement, at least, and in the case of a lot of bloggers, a wholesale copy/paste of their article, leaving our members the option of providing traffic to their site, or not.

Hope that helps, and that you had fun turning $$$ into noise.

    Exactly right.

For us, the operative question is, are you actually adding content, or just doing a drive-by to drum-up business someplace else? A comprehensive post with a solid-write up and a few supporting links is always going to be seen as appropriate.

I am no expert here but I have never seen a 416 upper with a forge mark behind and slightly above the ejector as seen in the video. Furthermore, the machining of the to rail does not taper off before reaching the charging handle as the 416 does. Lastly, look at the machining on the "bulge" forward of the ejection port, not what the 416 normally looks like. Can't tell with that rail, but is the cutout/notch for rail to upper alignment on the upper?

Sir, I know the Operator personally. I know what he has done, and what he has been through in service to the USA. He is not a liar and he definitely knows what he is talking about.
Still not a HK416. Look at the thing above the barrel in this picture.
