rushca01, very nice. I love the look of the Chen mag well. Does the Chen prevent the use of Wilson ETM & 47D magazines due to the base pads and closed mag well front?
You definitely need one, I'm with you there on not wanting to mess with rare stuff. Get one and roll with it!

That's great to hear. I'm planning on adding a Chen to my next project. This solidifies my decision. Thanks!
I am probably close to the 10K mark on my MCOP. Customized by SACS with mainly 10-8 stuff and tool steel trigger components set at 4.5 lbs, minor dehorn, 25lpi front strap and MSH/Magwell and EGW HD thumb safety.
I took a 10-8 armorers class and I failed the extractor test....so Hilton with his file ran his magic on my extractor.
I recently went through a Haley Strategic DE (Low Light Vehicle Assaults) where we average about 400 rounds a day (3) in over 100 degree temps, sandy environment. Toward the end of each class, I could feel and hear grit inside my MCOP, so I cleaned each day. A student had his dad's Ed Brown Special Forces and it had so much grit invade the recoil spring tunnel, it scratched the slide finish (heavily).
This class was a true test for my MCOP and it ran almost 100%. Our first string of firing, well over 50 rounds of 230 Rem ball. The gun was so hot (outdoor temp over 100), I could not hold the gun in my hand. I was using Larry Davidson G10s and on day two, cut the finger tips off of Mechanix gloves to hold the gun. after the class, I switched back to Pacs.
I had one failure....where it was dark, we were shooting multiples with a handheld light in my support hand. Using the Rogers/Surefire cigar hold, my gun did not go bang. I could see my slide was out of battery and closer inspection, the round in the mag was looking up. Quick clearance drill and I was back on. It was toward the end of that day, I could hear the grit inside my gun when I manually cycled the action and I could have possibly hindered the slide as I have 3X hands and long fingers and flashlight manipulations. that was my only failure.
My MCOP runs good, and the AK is holding up well to plenty of draws out of a Safariland 6360 or plain clothes leather.

Back from the dead to report that I finally picked up a MC Operator.... Waiting for paperwork to clear and I"ll be picking it up Wednesday from my FFL.
I bought it used off of GB for $750 shipped. It has a fair amount of holster wear but the pistol felt tighter than my old TRP did. I'm looking forward to shaking it down at the range and maybe in a local IDPA match before sending it off to SACS for some work. Thanks to all that gave me their feedback.
