$320 for a case of .40 American Eagle - does this sound right?

I remember paying $245 per case 5 months ago. I know the price of metal has gone up, but does this sound right?

sadly not for much longer....wally world 9mm WWB is now over $18 per 100 around here....seems like just last year it was near $10....

i ordered some wolf classic today just to try out....at .13 a round as opposed to over .18 a round, its worth a shot....glock extractors are cheap....

Don't buy at Wally world. Ammo is going up but don't pay more than you have to.

Up here is the lovely almost frozen north, (alaska) $320 isnt really that high at all. More so the norm. As for the 9mm $18 100 round pack, that is $25 or so up here. Good times. A good deal on 5.56 is about $475 for a 900 round case of xm193 on stipper clips and $495 is the sticker price.

I was in Wal-Mart this morning and a 100 pack of Winchester White Box 40 S&W 165g FMJ was $26.88. 45 ACP was $3 higher.

I'm in the process of buying a large quantity of 9mm ammunition (both duty and practice) and was quoted $118/500 for Winchester (RA9T). This supplier told me that prices may be going up by as much as 30% on or about May 1st. With the increase in the price of oil, added to the increase in the cost of component metals, etc., the production and shipping costs must be going through the roof.

If you need to buy, esp. a large quantity, better buy now.

I'm seeing $280 per case of PMC, before shipping and $200 for wolf, before shipping.
