    Surefire Vertical Foregrip Weaponslight

I have been considering getting either this M910A with LT170: http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetac...etail.bok?no=9

or something similar. I was wondering if anyone has used any of these extensively either for local Police/SWAT use or in the sandbox and thought that it was worth the investment. I am considering it for ,y trunk rifle in the short term and maybe to take with me overseas should I decide to get mobilized (I currently have a 24-month deferment).

Also, if your unit include LED navigation lights, what color or color combination did you use and why?

    Thanks in advanced.

I have a Surefire M900 with the Arms throw lever and the led navigation lights. It has worked fine but I am going to replace it with a Surefire X300. If you want mine I will sell it to you for $300.

The reason I am replacing it is to save on weight. In my line of work we carry our rifles more than we shoot them. A X300 at 110 lumins for 2.5 hours seems like a better solution than 125 for an hour or 250 for 20 minutes. Also the M900 weighs 20 ounces.

I used an M900 extensively on a previous contract and I like it. You have a light and foregrip in one unit and then the mini lights (mine are IR) as well. It is pretty rugged and does what it is supposed to do. Some people don't like that added weight, so if that is an issue then go with another set-up. I am currently using a Surefire Scoutlight on my carbine here in Iraq and it works good as well.

Pat, let me think about it - I'll let you know if I decide to take the plunge.

The added weight is a concern. But not as much as the height of the grip. I currently run the Larue FUG in short configuration.

    Thanks guys.

I like the light it is bright and sturdy. I am currently running the 250 lumin bulb. My main complaint is the weight and battery life. That is why I am going with the X300. I bought an X300 for my pistol and love it. Its the first light I have had in its size that produces a good amount of light. So I just bought another x300 from Botach they are on sale right now for 179.00 I am going to set my patrol rifle up with it.

I used one last year and loved it. The wieght thing I think is funny but's that only because of all the other crap we had to wear another 20 oz is nothing. It was always where I wanted it and very easy to use, we had red leds on ours and they didn't get used to much.

It's a brick and I found it awkward. I switched to a vfg with an M600 on the off side and am very happy. I would get white LEDs. Mine had red. Can't see colors worth a shit with anything but white, and that matters more than one would think.
