There was a time in my life when I couldn't tell you how many guns I owned without counting. Times have changed and I have reduced my inventory to must have weapons and nothing else. One well sorted AR, 20 magazines with 2,000 plus rounds of green tip. One all purpose shotgun with 500 rounds of bird shot and 300 rounds of buck and slug. Two 9mm pistols that share the same 10 magazines and 1,000 rounds of ball. In the near future I will add a precision bolt 22 and maybe a scout type rifle in 308. We all have different needs.. I would rather have one of everything (within reason) than multiple copies of the same weapon platform. GH

No such thing. I have several because they all do something different. One is an f-tr gun, one is a NM gun, two work rifles (an SBR and a patrol carbine), one .22 for cheap practice. I like that I have to tools to work on them and change what I want when I want.

I don't have several copies of the same sort of setup - that seems redundant (although my SBR and patrol rifles both have similar light setups for obvious reasons).

If I find myself doing something a little different (like 3-gun), I'll likely put something else together.

Personally, I think you should do what you want.
    Pretty much my thoughts.

That's a good question. . No real answer in some ways. I'm even thinking about thinning my flock of ARs some then I'll want to assembly more. If anything at least two. I've got some that are just as I have had issued and as should have been issued. Back when I'd go to range at least once a week shooting cqb range then out to 500 M different needs in rifles. Used AR10 for deer hunting a few years back my bolt rifle was packed in storage and short notice to go hunting. So there is no right answer If I was limited I'd have few lowers and many uppers.

I have one for every member of my home. LOL.....But I enjoy building them so I have 5 different rifles. I don't do the training thing but I reload all my own ammo. I don't go to "the range" as I have one in my back yard.

I suppose I am just a recreational shooter with a knac for mechanics.
I want to build 1 more so I will have one configured for service rifle set up. If you'll give the .gov a minute, They will ban them.

For years I had one AR. I in reality have just one now as I am waiting on an optic and another barrel. I can say this when I had that one AR and nothing else I became very proficient with that setup. I owned no other Stoner simile and it was what I had for all circumstances. Be it a class, 3 gun whatever. There is an advantage to owning one AR. It forces you to become very acclimated with it. Not a bad thing. If you have the urge to train and get better then there is no shame in owning just one AR15.

Beware the man with one rifle....he knows how to use it.
