    Seems to me that the BCG would develop a wear pattern and would mate itself to said barrel or receiver that also would develop a wear pattern. While swapping back and forth on occasion may be ok, I don't think I would make it the norm. Just my opinion.

    It depends on the amount of rounds through the gun, I have an MWS with 7500 rounds through it and I had to buy another gun due to lack of parts. I am not sure that the current bolt would head space correctly with a new barrel. I spoke with LMT and they said that the bolts should last 10000 rounds before the lugs start to fail. They do recommend replacing the extractor at 6500 rounds. They will sell you a new bolt if yours breaks. As for spares for the commercial market no time frame because they are still back ordered 1 year on rifles. I would love one of their dual ejector bolts for my SR-25
