You mean to tell me there are outdoor channels and shows about firearms?! And here I thought I was trapped in this world of Honey Poo-Poo and the Duck Idiots . . .

I don't have cable or dish or whatever internet widgett, but we're looking at getting something so we can watch the Walking Dead next month, I'll have to be sure to get that channel so I can watch Larry's show.

I can't remember when we've had more options in terms of 2A-related programming that wasn't purely hunting-centric.

If you really think about it, they (entertainment industry) don't do a particularly competent job with any other interest group or fan base, either. Sensationalism, surface-deep journalism and celebrity are pretty much the order of the day for most such productions, and this is likely just an accurate reflection of our culture. As long as we have at least one or two beacons of light getting some air time, I am inclined to count my blessings.

I hear ya, but if a lowly dealer like myself knows MORE than the host of a TV SHOW, there is something drastically wrong! It was so bad that I am better of going into the bathroom, looking in the mirror and talking to myself about gun.

These guys need to up their game I think.

Its a GREAT reminder that because people are on TV doesn't mean they know shit! Sure its obvious when its a topic we know a lot about, but just think of all the other so-called experts who are likely spouting just as much nonsense but we don't realize it because we are informed.

PS: Tac Tv is a great show, and a few of the others can be mildly interesting, and at least offer some looks at some new gear or something. The reality shows seem to be pretty much the worse!

Oh I am sure that I watched some hunting show about shooting turkeys and the host said something really stupid, but I didn't know it because I don't hunt turkeys.

I watch most of the shows. I can take or leave them I suppose.

Who really irks me is "Sheriff Jim Wilson" constantly trashing everything as "Tactard". I mean the guy is basically still hashing out the same stuff he wrote in the '80s and 90's. And how many times can he post that same old ar15.com pic of the AR with a million lights and optics on it and use it as an example of a real use gun?

And as far as routinely making fun of how individuals dress, it's not 18F'n95.

Aren't most of these programs just long ads for certain gun makers?

Sorry...but if I paid good money for a handgun or rifle class and I show up and the instructor is carrying a DPMS, Stag or Double Star rifle or wearing a Ruger SR9 on his hip....I am asking for a refund and leaving.
