On what grounds??????

We live in the age of insanity.

"Just remember, when you are talking to the average person, you are talking to a television set"--RDJB
One Big Ass Mistake America
If you want to create contempt for the law this is a great way to do it.
I thought that "progressivism as a mental disease" was hyperbole but there might be something to it after all...
Great...so the spent 30.06 casing from the Honor Guard at my grandfathers funeral which is on my keychain is now a crime.
Isn't that just magnificently peachy.

It took a while to think of how to respond to this, then I realized I was dwelling on this excessively outrageous, completely and totally senseless law to an unproductive extent. One based in the nation's capitol, ideally the place where the most stringent of constitutional laws and ideal are upheld to the very end.
At this point screw the frustration based, attempted well thought out replies in a public forum. We are almost all smart enough to see what is happening step by step but so long as it doesn't effect us personally yet or we can choose to move we'll take it for another day, then month, then year, etc.
Simply can't stand it anymore. I'm a two hour drive from Washington and have long been waiting for a meaningful event(s) to attend on our behalf but we don't even have an "our" established yet. Not to mention a plan in place to counter the insanity. Those of us in the farthest corners of the country figure it can wait a little longer and those in the middle bitch but succumb. Or wait, they also flee while looking back at their previous neighbors with disdain.
America will be dead in 30-50 years maximum. The firearm community is all talk but fundamentally weak beyond a check to the NRA.
We all deserve what we get.
Second amendment advocates are much different from your average protestor. We have things to lose.
Your average occupy jackass doesn't have a job, travels around the country like a locust screwing up local communities where they pitch camp. Being arrested is meaningless to him.
By contrast if we did the same we'd lost our jobs, our rights to own firearms and possibly even our families.
The other HUGE difference is the typical protestor wants to destroy American, we don't. We have no desire to start a shooting war and plunge the nation into anarchy with an uncertain future.
So we are at a significant disadvantage which leaves us with the opportunity to protect our families and little more.
But if the occupy types did finally manage to bring war to this nation then people would have no choice to fight. And hopefully most of us would still have the tools and means to do so.
Until then we have to engage in almost futile efforts like the election process and trying to counter and expose the massive media bias that exists.
And if somebody stands up and publicly declares their line in the sand, it will probably be not very well thought out and will cost them being investigated and loss or rights as happened with a recent Youtube video protest over proposed new gun laws after Sandy Hook.
I'd rather not start another civil war, states and citizens actually lost quite a bit and we had a powerful new "union."
