I see it pop up in threads from time to time (and guilty of it myself) about term limits for Congressmen and Senators. Just wondering what the general consensuses is around the forums about if there should be an Amendment to the Constitution like the 22nd Amendment limiting Congress to selected terms.
Experience is a cruel teacher, gives the exam first and then the lesson.

This joint resolution calls for a constitutional amendment which would place a limit on the amount of time a Member of the U.S. House or Senate may serve in office to a maximum of 12 years per chamber.

Might as well offer up an amendment where Congressmen who break the law are treated like ordinary people with no special immunity or consideration.
If by some miracle Rand Paul gets the nomination, it will be the first time I voted FOR somebody since Reagan.

I am for them. I'd rather deal with the lame duck 2 term rep than the politician for life rulers we have now.
The last time Biden had a private sector job was in the 70's. I think one of the biggest problems we have is these people who pull the strings up there, and they've been there for decades.
I would also like to go back to state legislature elected senators. That is supposed to be the state's voice in the Federal gov.
