Yes they will slide right onto the rail.

The side with the sling loop might be a pain. I had to remove my loop to get the panel on.

.....next time, slide it on from the Delta ring portion of the weapon. It'll take you about 5 seconds longer than sliding it from the muzzle. Just have to bend the cover slightly.

Removing the sling mount is for the birds compared to it.

My FFL received 10 today, all KAC rails, the previous batch had Troy. In typical Colt fashion, they use what they have and to hell with what the catalog says.

Guess I didn't try real hard to do it that way but it certainly wasn't going to just slide on that way.

Not a big deal I wasn't going to use that sling mount anyway.

May I be so bold as to say not to many people have just 1 AR.

Colt seems pretty slapdash about the accessories they include with their 6920's. Seems there's no rhyme or reason to the type and number of mags, sling, etc. included.

Not a chance that I would accept a Troy rail in place of a KAC on that weapon.

At this point in the game there are too many competitors that offer quality and upgrades for the same price as these Colt Troy mod rifles. I like my colts but if buying today I would grab a DD with floated rails or whatever if my budget was $1400-1500ish or maybe LMT whatever. $1500 still buys a lot of rifle if you stay away from gun shows.
I agree. The rifle as configured is obsolescent. Time and technology march on, and have left this mix of components behind.

And somehow DPMS is still I business too. Says a lot about the manufactures or maybe it says more about the lack of knowledge the average gun buyer has or is willing to invest into the decision of purchase.
