    11.5 BCM Build

I plan on running a standard carbine buffer/spring system and a full auto BCG in a BCM 11.5 pistol build (carbine length gas). Does anyone see any issue with this setup or better yet does anyone have experience running this? Thanks!

You've been here since 2011 and you don't know?

Yes it will work. Play with an H or H2 buffer as well. You might find something you like best.

Worst thing about your build is the pistol part. SBR that shit! ALWAYS worth the wait

If you plan on shooting 5.56 then you should consider an H or H2. I would also read some of the threads here. Been discussed numerous times.

Why not use an A5 RE on your build?

    Gives you lots of options.

Pistols tend to move more because they aren't held against the shoulder.

This makes it more difficult for them to cycle.

The added consistency of the A5 can help make up for it.

I have done a bunch of research and this seemed (in theory) that this would be the best setup. I just recently took the final step in getting the upper. Test shots to be fired next weekend........ SBR could be a future possibility!

That's what mine looks like until my Form 1 comes back. Glad to see someone else who isn't afraid to run their pistol with a standard receiver extension

Yeah, it seems most people are freaked out by that for some reason. I do carry a few print outs of ATF letters with me when I am transporting the pistol. Just in case someone tries to hassle me because they are uneducated.
