Their product line isn't for me, but there's obviously a market for this stuff.

I can also understand how an "AR Purist" might look at this stuff with gritted teeth.

I look at pick-ups sporting low profile tires and just shake my head in bewilderment. I guess it's all about style over substance and from what I can tell, that's what the product line of the AR bling site is all about...

Agreed, and I'm not trying to say that it would cause anyone heartburn. It's much like alternative life styles. I don't care if one likes shaving hairy asses, but I don't have to condone or support it. I don't care to take it to that level with my guns by adding loud outlandish paints or designs or purple phallic symbols just to distinguish it in that fashion, as it is not what my guns are for. You won't ever catch me fondling someone else carbine like that either. It doesn't bother me in the slightest. It ain't mine and it might provide a good gut busting laugh if sighted on the line, so folks can get their bling on all they want in the 'painted show em off' or pic thread...

Speaking of "spiders" these handguards look like their intended market; again not for me, just saying.

You never know, the guys who make these probably don't even like them, but....they knew people would buy them. I'm not saying I agree with it totally but you can't blame them for starting a business and making a buck...MURICA!

If cool pink Magpul furniture gets a non-shooting woman to want to shoot an AR I support it. If a hexagonal rail gets another shooter into ARs I support it. The more AR owners in the world the better, IMO. Whatever floats your boat.

You can't become a serious shooter without starting out as a interested yet clueless beginner at some point. If bling brings new shooters in to the AR fold great. A little gun-fashion tolerance combined with some education, gentle nudges and a few kicks in butt can yield wonderful results.

Most of the died in the wool anti's are far more concerned about folks like us who put military grade parts on our rifles. They find that far more disturbing than some dude with spiders or zombies.

Either way, I'm not for stifling anyone's creativity because some nanny doesn't like it.
+1 Bowing to the sensibilities of the antis is completely counter productice IMO. I say if some old boy can make money selling silly designs on a ff tube then more power to him. And the guy buying the thing isn't spending my money so more power to him too.

Anyone objecting to the way something looks and wanting to outlaw it for that reason is beyond my contempt and shouldn't have ANY power.
