If you have an iPhone 4 or newer iOS 7 will be released on the 18th. I have been running beta 6 and now the GM which is what will be released. I think people will really like the difference and iOS has been due for a good change for a while.
Swiping up from the bottom gives you a lot of quick toggle options like wifi, Bluetooth, brightness, music controls, quick access to the camera, calculator, flashlight, ect.
Notifications has some good stuff for calendar views, stocks, ect
In safari you no longer have to scroll all the way to the top to refresh, and you can swipe to go back and forth between pages. Swiping also works for the settings menu.
Multitasking is cleaner and you get a view of the app not just an icon.
Photos app is much cleaner and it automatically groups photos into dates and events. Photo streams can have photos added from multiple people so now we have a shared stream for family photos, ect
Camera has built in filters if you're into that.
If you purchase iTunes Match which is already a great service, the music app has a built in pandora like music radio service. iTunes Match makes that service ad free, and is like $25 a year. Otherwise you get ads but it's still built in for free.
You have the option to auto download app updates.
Overall I'm very impressed and the GM runs very good on my iPhone 5. Did a little test last night charging it to full, unplugged it, and woke up this morning at 95% so it's not a battery sucker. This will be a great base to add onto going forward for iOS and the cleaner look is great. Gone are the fake textures and shaded buttons.
If you upgrade make sure to do a backup first and you will need to be on iTunes 11.1 which should be released next week. You can update but iOS 7 won't sync with anything older.
