    So, do we conclude that deep water capability of an RDS is indicative of its overall quality? I'm OK with that concept, but does that mean that the Aimpoint H-1 or R-1 (which are touted around here as being "every bit as good as the T-1") are therefore significantly inferior to the T-1?

    H-1 rated waterproof to 15 feet.
    T-1 rated waterproof to 80 feet.

    Perhaps totally off-topic, but why is it that pistols seem to function perfectly fine underwater (I done seen it on Youtube!), but apparently water will **** up your rifle?

    Cool photos but the bullet wont get more than a foot or two when exiting the barrel.

    Not necessarily. There are hypercavitating projectiles with significant range in water. I don't know if that is just fired into water, or underwater firing, though.
