    Isn't it generally regarded as a horrible idea to fire a gun underwater? Seems to me so long as the optic can get wet it is good to go. I would say very very few people need a Scuba ready optic.

    No, if firearm is rated for such exercise. There are reasons, why G36 is very popular among maritime SOF units (at least in my neighborhood).

    But if there is need to actually hit something underwater and do some harm, I would prefer APS or ASM-DT
