    KAC Micro 300m BUIS Question

Just received a KAC micro 300m BUIS from a member here. It was brand new in box, unopened. Upon mounting it, it looks like it has a slight forward lean and not exactly vertical when flipped up to the 90 degree position. Just wanted to know if this was normal since I'm using this for the first time. Didn't have the issue with either of my KAC 600m rear BUISs. If it's supposed to be that way then no worries. Thanks.

Found this image doing a Google search. Closests thing I can find to illustrate what I'm talking about. The 300m BUIS in question is mounted at the rear end, and it also appears to have a slightly forward cant.

Maybe this topic needs to be moved to the KAC forum?

I have 3 and they all lean a bit. Never been an issue though.

Has KAC fixed the issue where the windage is inadvertently adjusted when the sight is flipped up/down, or have no changes to the Micro 300M rear BUIS been made to fix that?

I'm not sure if they've fixed the problem, but all of them did not display this behavior. My three examples don't have the windage movement.

My 200-600 micro had this same problem when I first got it, but I greased the cross screw and ran the adjustment all the way to one side and the other, and it doesn't do it any longer.

I have 3 of them and they all move a little when you flip the sight up and down. The thing is, it moves in the same direction as the post. Your windage adjustment won't change, it moves with the post on the way down and then back where it was when you flip it back up.

No movement in the 300m. Slight movement in the 600m offset when flipped up, but returns to zero when flipped down.
