I personally have the stubby and the 45 offset 1 inch mount. I really dig their products and their CS is again, great!

I've been running their QD swivel front mount for my sling, and have forgotten about it. It does exactly what it was advertised to do in a reliable and unobtrusive way.

By far and away my favorite WL mounts....specifically the bombproof GS-Scout mounts.

I really like how Jason listens so attentively to what his customers want.....true hallmark of a great company.

P.S. I'll just leave this here.....

During the design phase, we had originally designed our flashlight mounts cantilevered as you suggested. However, during T&E we found that they simply would not hold up to the abuse they were going to experience from hard use. In short, when dropped, they would bend rendering the light inoperable for the user. These original mounts never made it through T&E. We redesigned our mounts to be far more robust. Our goal was to create a mount that could outlive the light itself. We accomplished this with our current offerings.

For the record, all our low profile components were designed around and intended for people running shorter ( carbine length ) handguards. Running the light in our mount on the outboard side along with a 12 o'clock pressure switch solved all the problems associated with running a light on a shorter handguard as illustrated below.

As Trident point out, we do have a new modular free float tube coming down the pipe. More on that later.
