    sight alignment problem

On the new PK firearms upper, I attached a Midwest Industrys rear pop up sight. I finally took the scope off of the gun and decided to sight in the Iron sights. I had to adjust the sights all the way to the left just to get close to the target. I'm still not on target. Is my sight a POS or is something not right with the aligment of the upper? Anyone have a fix?

Sounds like your upper receiver isn't TDC with your FSB. I'm doubtful that the BUIS is the problem. If it's that far off, you might be able to eyeball the top of the receiver (with no scope or BUIS attached) and see that the FSB may appear canted.

Bushmaster used to be really bad about this, but it can be fixed!

    I'm having a similar problem.

I recently got a LMT 16" upper, and with the help of friends, got it zeroed. The rear sight is significantly more to the left- although not all the way. I also recently purchased a Larue cantilever Aimpoint mount, and when co-witnessing with the irons, the front sight appears to be slightly to the left from center when looking through the Aimpoint. I thought it might have been an out of spec machining job, but upon further inspection, it appears that the barrel is out of alignment with the upper receiver. Is this possible? While looking at the front sight post through the rear of the receiver at eye level, it appears that front sight base is canted slightly to the left.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this?

Please keep this updated. I'm in the same boat, my rear sight it all the way left to get on target.
