Shot my second hand PPS today...

    LOVED IT!!!

I couldn't believe how well it shot for such a small gun!

250 flawless rounds with only a few failures for the slide to lock back on the last round. Could have been limp wristing towards the end of the session as I don't specifically recall the issue happening when we first started shooting and my buddy didn't have any issues with the slide not wanting to lock back.

I think getting rid of my P238 for it was a great decision and I won't look back.
So glad to have this pistol. Now I just need to get my carry ammo run though it so I can feel comfortable carrying it.

Couple of things to check on older PPS's.

--It should have an "S" disconnector (visible when field stripped)

--There have been occasional problems with the slide stop breaking and jamming up the gun. A new slide stop was used starting in about October 2010. PPS's with date code BB should be good to go.

"S" disconnector is present however I do have the old style slide stop as my pistol was born in August 2008.
No real issues yet but if it persist I may contact Walther about a replacement part.

My PPS has the old style slide stop too. Problems with it appear to be quite rare...it's really the only problem I've heard of with the PPS.

Anyway, I'm not very worried about it. I'll probably send it off to Walther too, one of these days.

My PPS .40 also lives with the old slide stop/spring. No issues, the PPS has been 100% reliable.

Here it is with my IWB rig.

If you spend much time around the guys who really, really know their craft, and who truly live this stuff, you tend to find that they are very soft-spoken and modest -- almost to the extreme. To my mind, that is a model worthy of emulation

Very Nice MedicMan. Good Pic. How do you like the IWB holster and have you had it long enough to love/hate it yet?
    No pics on THF?

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you, but it's still on my list.

Haven't received much interest on my post on THF.
I've only worn this particular holster twice but for several hours each time.
I do however have Infidel holsters for 1911's and my XD that I use whenever the need arises. The Infidel is top notice in my opinion.
