Kenyan SF carrying SCAR 17

Was reading a BBC article about the Kenyan Mall incident and noticed this picture of Kenyan soldiers (Caption says Special Forces, whatever that means in Kenyan Army terms) carrying SCAR 17s. Apparently the weapon is gaining some traction. The picture is the 2nd from the bottom, so you have to scroll down a ways.

Probably a small purchase by an elite unit with much better funding than the rest of their army, but I find it interesting none the less.

Does anyone know of other countries using this weapon?

All the pics I have seen they have had AKs. It is interesting to see that "special forces" unit has SCAR rifles.

Kenya believe it? LOL. I think most would be surprised as to the arsenal that even some of the poorer/ smaller countries have.
