    UTAS vs KSG

have a KSG, and I love my bullys but anyone have first hand experiences with UTAS? any input is welcomed. I wanted to see how and what others thought before laying out $1200-1400.
    Thanks

My friend has the UTAS and I shot a few low brass rounds out of it a couple weeks ago. I wasn't impressed. The gun was light but felt really cheap to me. I'm sure with hotter loads it would kick like a mule as well. It also seemed like I had to rack it REALLY hard to get it to extract/eject properly. IIRC it switches from one tube to the other automatically, unlike the KSG. I could see this as a pro and a con at the same time. Lastly it seemed like the foregrip was a bit on the small side and i felt like i couldn't get as good of a grip on it as I would have liked. I think I'll stick with my old fashioned Mossberg 500A.

Both suck, buy a VEPR 12 instead, purchase some 8 & 10 round mags and call it good.

On what do you base that rather scathing comment?

OP, you might find this of interest.

Based on the endless number of negative reviews, reported problems, trouble with customer service getting the guns fixed, detailed pictures of failures & breakages along with the countless number of videos documenting problems with both platforms.

Cool concept, but I wouldn't spend a dollar obtaining either a UTS or KSG at this point in time.

I don't believe everything I read on the Internet. There are a lot of folks with an axe to grind or no personal experience with something and just like to perpetuate the same crap over and over. I prefer to reserve judgement until I experience it myself.

If I listened to everything said about a product on the net, I would probably own just one gun.

Way too many poor reports with both photo and video footage, more bad than good with both. Some have KSG's that run, but it seems like a crap shoot.

    2000 Rounds and One Failure

Lots of old rounds and no issues

Whatever you think of this guy it is another positive

This guy also explains all of the operator errors, toward the end, that are being attributed to malfunctions. Look for bad reviews and you will find them.

I'm finding far more positive reviews than negative. I will hold my judgement until I've actually shot mine.

I didn't say none of them run fine, but there is a countless number of poor reviews, not just malfunctions, breakages with photos/videos of the broken gun, LOTS of them especially for a relatively new and rare gun. I was lurking back on the kel Tec forum when the KSG first came out. I wanted one way back when, but after seeing all the unhappy owners post with pics and videos I was very disappointed and wouldn't consider one at this point.
